Beans not Bombs 2022

Summer of 2022 was the first summer after covid and the year when the Ukraine Russia war started.
I was thinking where to go for the summer holiday and after few calls with my friends I accepted their invitation and decided that I will spend my holiday in Ukraine.
The plan was to establish a temporary school for kids that were running away from Donetsk and Charkiv, so I went to a small town of Imstychovo in Zakarpatya and start working with the kids.
My idea was to help kids to forget about the war and try to explain them, that the war will end at some point, and then the time to rebuild the country will come. The quote "Beans not Bombs" is talking about idea, that we need to forget about the violence and start thinking about the bright future, put our hands together, create unity once again and plant the seeds of the new peaceful world.
For that I created a object from tree branches in a way, that people plant beans. Tripod structures made from branches are the structures that the beans are climbing up and they symbolize the person. To make them more stable, I create a circle from the structures and connected them by another branches so altogether they create a circle.
The circle of people that hold their shoulders together to create a unity of peace.
